Parkinson’s 101

An infographic brochure to understand the basics of Parkinson’s Disease

First published in 2010, the Every Victory Counts manual broke new ground as the only resource of its kind, devoted solely to the principle of proactive self-care and a holistic approach to managing Parkinson’s.

BRANDING

CONCEPT

After conducting research online and through interviews, one of the most notable issues was that Parkinson’s is considered an “old person disease” when in fact it’s common to get it during mid-life. Due to this, many graphics found concerning this disease are branded with an old white male although that identity is false.

It was important to create a design that seemed playful, universal and didn’t discriminate on age while being clear information one would need to know when first learning about Parkinson’s while it’s the client themselves, a family member, general practitioner or care giver.
