IWK Health

A slide presentation designed to educate healthcare workers on the principles of trauma-informed care and the culture of well-being.

IWK Health is a leading women’s and children’s hospital and trauma centre located in Halifax, Nova Scotia. It provides specialized care to children, youth, and women from across Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and beyond.

In collaboration with Greg Dubeau of Better Dreams Studio and Audrey Peters, we developed a PowerPoint presentation aimed at educating healthcare professionals on the core principles of trauma-informed care.

Greg conceptualized the overall presentation, designed the layout, and contributed to some of the illustrations. Audrey and I were responsible for the majority of the illustration work. Below is a selection of slides and illustrations that highlight my specific contributions to the project.

NATURE

THEME

Embrace the Nova Scotia wilderness by introducing its flora and fauna as narrative support to create a naturalistic and calming tone.

COLOUR PALETTE

BRANDING

Utilize the entirety of the primary and secondary colour palettes; however, use the primary colours predominantly and the secondary colours are support. This area chart represents the usage amount for each colour.

Colour-coding sections of the presentation will create breakpoints that will divide content and themes into digestible chunks.
